I’m cleaning up my workshop a bit, and I have a bunch of tools that I’m going to sell. They are mostly vintage tools – to be honest I just have too many of tools. Most will need some sort of refurbishment.
My preference is to sell within Toronto, or the GTA. I don’t really want to ship anything, unless you want to pay for postage… tools are heavy, and expensive to post. Posts will be going up in the next couple of weeks.
Bronze router plane kits (2)
These router plane kits come from St. James Bay Tool Co. The bodies are rough cast bronze, and come with all the parts needed to build the router planes (except the wood for the handles). They do require some basic metal skills, e.g. tapping for bolts. There is a (i) 4″ wide open throat router plane, and a (ii) 3-3/4 closed throat router plane.
Hand drills
I have three hand drills available:
- Dunlop
- Millers Fall No.7 hand drill.
- Millers Fall breast drill, No.X. The drill works well, just needs some restoration. It is missing the side handle, which is easily replaced.

i would like to ask you one thing…i’ve seen until now lots of american sites where you can find lots of pictures of entire sets of swedish chisels in something that seems a big “chisel’s street market” like the one i’ve found here in this site in the chapter “TOOLS OF THE TRADES – FALL 2016 REVIEW”…can you tell me if it’s possible to buy these sets? and where i can find them?
